This U-shaped staircase was designed to connect two flights around a central turn, combining a durable steel structure, premium wood treads, and clear glass railing for a bright, contemporary look.

The cantilevered tread design creates a clean, floating appearance, while the glass railing keeps the stairwell open and visually light.

Finished in a warm wood tone against crisp white walls, the staircase brings a refined, modern character to the home's interior.

Project Challenge

Designing a U-shaped layout required engineering two connected flights around a tight central turn while keeping the cantilevered treads structurally secure.

The steel support system was built to carry the load discreetly, allowing the wood treads to appear to float without visible bulk.
